Steve Kindermann Passionate for musical excellence through unity of team! He received a Bachelor of Music Degree in Trumpet Performance from Southern Methodist University in 1988, having studied with Tom Booth. He retired from the USAF--performing as a soloist and serving as a leader in The United States Air Force Academy Band for 26 years. He has performed with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Opera, and Bach Society, The Dayton Ohio Symphony, The Denver Brass, The Little River Band, and was a member of the Springfield, Ohio Symphony. Steve was a member of the Dallas Cowboy’s Football Band from 1982-1987. Steve's primary teachers/mentors include Tom Booth, Phil Collins, and Bill Pfund. In addition, he has studied with David Zuercher, Principal Trumpet of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic (1979-2023). In October of 2021, he was appointed Principal Trumpet with the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs in Colorado Springs, CO. Steve performs with the Denver Brass, Colorado Brass Arts Group, Monument Hill Brass, The American Patriots Jazz Orchestra, and regularly performs with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic. He loves playing with the Brass Section durning worship services at First Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs! He is available as a soloist and coach.
